DTMT/SFFC Sign Indigenous Scholarship Award

Date Published: 14/03/2012

DTMT recently visited the South Fremantle Football Club (SFFC) to celebrate the signing of a three year sponsorship agreement as a major supporting partner for the club and proud sponsor of the Indigenous Scholarship Award.

This award selects a deserving and talented Indigenous footballer from South Fremantle’s country zone which includes the Upper Great Southern and Gascoyne/Murchison district. The aim is to provide the opportunity for the chosen youth to excel in his given field of endeavour and to realise his full potential as a footballer.

The recipient of the DTMT/SFFC Scholarship Award will receive a return trip to Melbourne with the South Fremantle Warriors, including accommodation, uniforms and living expenses. Furthermore, he will receive one on one mentoring from a high profile SFFC/AFL footballer and valued member of the community.

Each year, a panel will select one Indigenous youth footballer to receive the scholarship. Nominations will be received from the SFFC country zone. The presentation of the award will be held at a SFFC home game function presented by Brett Cullen from DTMT.
