DTMT Turns Pink

Date Published: 13/12/2013

DTMT recently participated in a "PINK" day to raise money to support Breast Cancer Awareness. The company generously agreed to match the donations made by staff, and as a result a total of $5,750 was raised.

The Cape Lambert team led the way, staging a morning tea in October. DTMT’s Supervisors, HSE, Engineers, Peggy’s, Mechanics and Office staff attended, and they were asked to donate a minimum of a gold coin donation.

Almost 50 people at Cape Lambert paid for pink hi-vis shirts to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness.  Rio Tinto even gave special permission for the shirts to be worn on site on the 30th of October. During the month all of the workers at pre-start were also reminded to donate on-line.

In the Head Office in Bibra Lake, the corporate team also embraced a day of Pink, with people making a great effort and some very generous donations.

Thanks to everyone involved on raising money towards a very worthy cause.
